Team Leader Alumni - Martin Zhelev

What motivated you to participate in the program?

My colleagues recommended the program to me as extremely well-developed in both theoretical and practical knowledge for team leadership. As a relatively young team leader, I see in my daily work that I need to develop or reinforce my qualities and knowledge in team management.

What challenges did the program assist you in overcoming?

  1. The program confirmed some team management practices that I was uncertain about and lacked sufficient information regarding their application.
  2. It helped me better understand the processes in the team's lifecycle.
  3. It opened new horizons for team management and my positioning as a team leader.
  4. Knowledge transfer from colleagues in the program provided both positive and negative experiences, helping me react better in similar situations.
  5. It improved my personal performance in conflict management.
  6. I am working on utilizing my strengths more effectively.

What is the most valuable takeaway you learned from the program?
The most valuable thing I learned is that being a successful team leader is not just a title, but rather a good understanding of several areas such as HR, Problem Solving, Communication, People Management, and Expectation Management.

What would you like to share with other individuals considering joining the program?

I recommend the program to them, as it is not only very useful but also interesting, with sessions including role-playing games, and so on.
